Pros: So far great glove. Son is really liking it. He is 10 years old and it fits great. Glove came pretty broken in but would recommend planning to break it in more yourself. Leather seems to be really good quality. Happy so far!

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Would this be good for a 12 yr old with a small hand but want to transition to an adult glove? Jski
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove (WTA09RB181175) is an infield mitt. The typical infielder for a 12 year old is a 12" mitt. This mitt may be a little tight, but we do have a 100 day guarantee. A 12 year old should be making the adjustment to an adult mitt to get used to the stiffness and the feel. If you do purchase a mitt and dislike it, you can always return it for a full refund or exchange as long as its within the 100 days.

Is this a good glove that will last a lot of years? My son is 11 and left handed. It's hard to find a good glove. We love Wilson but to buy the better glove you have to spend $259. Is paying more worth it? Denny
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175 is a great option and could last a couple years. It would not be the same quality as a Wilson A2000 or A2K but can definitely last a few years if taken care of and kept in good condition.
Carter
Would this glove fit an adult even though it is for younger players? If not what would be a close version of this for an adult? Corey
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175 would not make an ideal fit for an adult hand. As for something comparable for an adult player, one would want to look into the A2000 lineup such as the 2018 Wilson A2000 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA20RB18D33.

How does the fit of this compare to the Mizuno Prospect? I have an advanced 10 yr old that is currently using a Mizuno Prospect. He likes the fit but the glove is too floppy now. I want to upgrade to something a little sturdier, but still fits the same and is not too heavy. Anthony
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175 will feature a youth fit much like the Mizuno Prospect series. May take a a day or two more to break in though as it does not feature the same PowerClose Technology as the Mizuno Prospects.

My daughter plays 10u travel softball and plays primarily 3rd but pitches also. She currently has a Rawlings Gamer 11.75" double post that fits her smaller hands well but is ready to retire. Would the 11.75" A900 Trapeze (WTA09RB181175) or the Rawlings R9 11.75" Trapeze (R9205-4BSG) be a better fit for her? Matt O'Brien
Actually either would be great choices for what you guys are looking for. The advantages of the Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175 would be Low Profile Heel construction and the Double Padded Palm but easier control and maximum protection.
Tyler
Would this be a good glove for a 7 year old who is about 4’6” and 75-80lbs? He plays center field primarily on his travel ball team. Is worth upgrading to a A1000 to use for a few years? Cliff
The Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175 is a great glove that would work for him as an advanced player and still have the smaller hand fit for a 7 year old. Both the A900 and A1000 will be good gloves. However, I don't think you necessarily need to move him up to the A1000.

Hello, my son is an undersized 11 year old. He now plays mostly OF with some 2B on occasion. He has the 11.5 i web A900, but it doesn't work as well for him in the OF. The 12.5" seems like it might be too big, so would this be better suited? Chris
According to the player specs you provided me with, the Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: (WTA09RB181175) should be a great fit for your son. However, if this does not fit, we do have a 100-day full refund return policy!
Alex
Will this fit an adult - I am looking for an adult glove - Thank you Glenn
The WTA09RB181175 is not an adult glove. It is for youth players.
Alex
My son just turned 10 and currently playing third base and short. Is this the right size or would a 11.5" work better? Ferdinando
Glove size is mostly personal preference, but I think 11.75" would be better than 11.5". 11.5" is more of a middle infield size, while 11.75" is also slightly better suited for 3B.
Kyle
Best way to break in? Mike Konieczki
The best way to break in the Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove: WTA09RB181175 would be to play catch with the glove. A small amount of glove oil or conditioner may be needed as well.
Cameron
How will it do as a 3rd base glove? jordan
This Wilson A900 11.75" Baseball Glove (WTA09RB181175) has an 11.75" length and should work well for use at thirds base. Typically, this mitt is recommended for young, advanced ball players. I would probably say to use this for an adolescent aged player.
