Pros: This glove is great I have been using it in the infield at second base. Great fell well made. Would suggest this glove to every age, will protect you from hard hits. Good for all positions,on less you are catcher or need a bigger outfield glove. At most ages it does not matter what time of glove you have it just has to fell right and work. I live this glove and hope you will to.

Cons: NO CONS

Pros: Amazing quality, I use this along with the pro preferred series by rawlings. Honestly they are both amazing gloves but somehow I just love the feel of the 1789 more, when this breaks in I will use this as my game glove for sure. Even after a couple of days I can tell it is molding to hand. The leather on this is amazing but the kip on the ProPref is still softer in my opinion but since my 1789 still hasn't fully broken in I can't say much. Would I recommend this, yeah. Personally a 11'75 would be more of my size but this was fine. my ProPref is being relegated to bad weather game glove.

Cons: TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO BREAK IN. *IMO* I relaced the whole thing since I didn't like the length it came in but that is me nitpicking. the break point of the glove is pretty stiff so keep that in mind. Other than that it is an amazing glove.

Doesn't the gray lettering make this glove ineligible to be used by a pitcher? Joel
No, the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series A20RB16789 will be allowed to use while pitching.
John
Is this too big for an 11 year old infielder, pitcher? John
The 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161789 has an 11.50" pattern and it should work very well for an 11 year old. Typically a player around the age of 12 will move into an adult size glove like this. The 11.50" size is a good size for a player in those positions.
Jason
Is there a way to order this glove and make a request to have red laces? Gallagas
In order to get the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161789 with red laces, you will need to place an order for a custom glove. Here is the link to the Wilson Custom Glove builder: http://www.justballgloves.com/product/wilson-custom-glove/23572/.

What is the difference between the A2000 1789 and the 1782? Michael Sobczyk
I do apologize, but I am not certain about the specification difference between this 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161789) and an A2000 1782 mitt. Both mitts appear to have the 11.50" length and Modified T-Webbing. I might recommend asking Wilson the difference at the following number: (800-800-9936).

Just a follow up on sizing, looking to purchase this as a Bday present for a soon to be 11 year old. He plays short and second, uses an 11.5 inch glove today. He is on the smaller size, but I know some of the posts have said kids begin to move to the adult gloves around 11. Does this glove run around normal size and do you think it's realistic for an 11 year old for next season? michael
How gloves fit is largely based on player preference. If your player likes the feel of 11.50, the 2016 Wilson A2000 Series (A20RB161789) will be a great fit.
Mick
My son is 12 and is very much a utility player depending on the team. He will be playing mostly SS and pitching with an occasional outfield. Will this work? Should we be going to a 11.75? He on the tall side for his age. Baseball mom
The Wilson A2000 Series: A20RB161789 could be a little big currently but will have more longevity. I would look at a 11.5''.
