What's the difference between A1000 and A2000? Greg
The Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 features a premium grade cowhide leather that is relatively easy to break in, and isn't quite the quality of leather of the pro stock leather featured on A2000 gloves.

Does this glove have a smaller wrist opening and shorter finger stalls for youth players? beaniedemon
The Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 is similar to the A1K series. These gloves will feature smaller wrist opening and tighter finger stalls for a more secure fit.

What's the difference between AK1 and A1000? Do both these gloves come in the Pedroia fit? TC
The A1K and A1000 lines will have a slightly smaller wrist opening and finger stalls for a more secure fit. A1K models use the top 5% of the leather stock normally used for the A1000 models.

Does this come in a size 11 or 11.25 for a 10 yr old? Dave
The Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 is an 11.50 inch pattern. Unfortunately there is not an A1000 model in a 11.00 inch pattern but they did make the Wilson A1000 11.25" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181788 - this is a 11.25 inch pattern.
Cameron
Would this glove be to big for an 11 year old with small hands? If so what Wilson glove would you recommend? Richie
This glove might be a bit large for some 11 year old players, yes. For an intermediate player or age where a Youth glove might be a bit small, I would look at a Dustin Pedroia model from Wilson. These will be A2000 models and the "Pedroia Fit" will have a smaller wrist opening and finger stalls than a standard adult glove. An example model would be the A2000 11.5" (A20RB17DP15).

Would this glove be good for my 12 year son? luke baseball
The Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 will feature a youth fit and thus is a great option to consider for a 12 year old player.

Should I get this or the Dustin Pedroia fit? (NP) Chantz Judy
Whether or not you are wanting to go with the Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 or the Dustin Pedroia fit will depend on hand size. Typically the Pedroia fit works well for younger players or players looking for a tighter fit. The Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 will come ready for play out of the box.

My son is about to turn 9 and currently has the Wilson A450 11 inch glove. He loves it, but I'm looking to upgrade him to an 11.5" inch model. He plays all positions other than catcher and is right handed. Is the fit of the A1000 made to fit a 9 year old or would you have other high quality 11.5 inch models you'd recomend? Ryan
The Wilson A1000 would be a good upgrade model for him as it is designed as a more intermediate glove.
Kyle
My son is 11 with pretty small hands as he only weighs 70 pounds. What is your best glove you would recommend. Consider he has small hands and currently uses a Rawlings 11.5" Gold Glove that once broken now falls off his hand. Jeff
The Wilson A1000 11.5" Baseball Glove: WTA10RB181786 is a great option. It is constructed for intermediate youth players. Those that need a high quality glove, but may not be ready for a full adult fitting option. With our 100 Day Love Your Glove Policy, every glove purchased with us comes with a 100 day trial period.
