Do you have this glove minus the pink and yellow label? We can't have yellow on the glove for a pitcher.
Unfortunately, we do have the Shoeless Joe Shoeless Jane Fastpitch Series: 1250FPBW without the pink and yellow label.
My daughter is 5'8" and is playing outfield in high school and club ball. Also occasionally plays 1st base. Was thinking about getting 13" model, but saw some reviews that said that model needs a strong hand to close the glove. Liked the 13" for the extra length in outfield, but was worried about hand strength. Should I order the 12.5" instead or go with 13"?
The special aged antique tobacco leather of the Shoeless Joe Shoeless Jane Fastpitch Series: 1250FPBW should provide a softer leather that will allow for an easier close than most gloves. When you get up to the 13" size, it will require some additional hand strength to close that glove. I would still recommend going with the 13" glove considering your player is looking for the extra length and if that glove is too much, you can always utilize our 100-day money back guarantee.
My daughter just got a 12 inch Shoeless Jane glove. It's still too stiff for her to close. What do you suggest to help to continue to break in?
The best way to break in the Shoeless Joe Shoeless Jane Fastpitch Series: 1250FPBW or any other glove is to use a small amount of glove conditioner or oil on the palm and finger stalls of the glove. Once this is lathered in then playing catch with the glove and taking a ball or wooden mallet, like those included in the glove care kit, to help soften up the areas needing additional attention. The areas to focus on would be the pinkie and thumb stalls as well as the heel of the glove to help make the glove easier to close.
Shoeless Joe Gloves give players the quality, feel and style of the gloves used by professional ball players over the last 100 years. You can choose glove models used in the first half of century in the Golden Age Series, today's models in the Professional Model Series, youth gloves with the Joe Junior Series, or fastpitch softball gloves with the Shoeless Jane Series. Shoeless Joe gloves are individually hand-cut and sewn from Special Aged Antique Tobacco Leather Hides. Shoeless Joe gloves are then hand-rubbed with old time ingredients to soften the leather before they go through their breaking in process that leaves the glove with a beaten up and "Game Worn" look and feel, of a broken in glove. Thus each glove is unstructured giving it its own unique features. Players can choose to play with an old time or modern day web without having to change to another model. A great play is lived only once, but your glove, you'll keep it forever. If you end a game with a clean uniform our gloves are not for you. Shoeless Joe: When It Was Just a Game. Free Shipping!
