Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series: BCF-1250C review by blowout100
Pros: Very supple glove. best 12.5 Nokona makes. It's better than the black and walnut. Easy to break in really almost game ready. The palm is perfect for 12" fast pitch. Leather is OUTSTANDING. I have owned number of fast pitch gloves and this is the best!. From 12U to college this mitt just works! Cons:Its pricey at 259.99 BUT well worth it!

Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series: BCF-1250C review by SoftballDad
Pros: I bought this glove for my 13yr old daughter so she could have a glove to last her for pretty much EVER! Just looking at the glove you can tell its a super quality product. The glove is freaking sweet! While the buffalo / walnut leather combo is helping with the break-in time there is no way this glove is close to game ready out the box. I put it on my hand and I couldn't even budge it closed. It is stiff, but I expected it would be because Nokona uses the best quality leather available. I worked the glove with a softball mallet and played catch with my daughter for the past 2 weeks and my daughter can now catch the ball and get the glove to close enough so the ball wont pop out. I figure another couple weeks and this thing will be game ready. To sum it all up, you cant go wrong with this glove. Its really nice, but expect to have some break-in time. Also, Nokona is the only company I know of that makes ball gloves in America. Support American Products!! Cons:None. Zippo, Zilch.

Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series: BCF-1250C review by Cat
Pros: My daughter has only had this glove for a week so I really have not seen any pros. Cons:This glove has been difficult to break-in. I have used the Nokona cream on it 4 times and worked on this glove a lot. For the money spent on this glove it should be somewhat pre broken-in.

Ask A Question

I am looking at this glove and the WS-1250C for my daughter. She is 13 and plays at a high level. She plays 1st and outfield. Can you tell me what the main difference is between these gloves other than the velcro strap back? Is the strap better?

The big difference between this Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series (BCF-1250C) and the WS-1250C is that this Buffalo Combo Fastpitch is meant to fit a female hand while the WS-1250C is meant to fit the hand of an adult male playing slowpitch softball. For what you are wanting, you will want to go with this Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series (BCF-1250C). As you mentioned in the question, it has a strap for a smaller hand and the fit will be better for a 13 year old female player.

Can I still use this for slow pitch adult softball for the infield and outfield?

The Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series (BCF1250C) could be used for slow pitch but the fit of the glove will be more designed for a female hand. It will have smaller finger stalls and a smaller wrist opening than a men's model.

We purchased a (BCF-1250) last year and have been working with it. We have had to stay with our old glove, because this one is still very stiff. Any suggestions?

If you are looking to break-in the Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series: (BCF1250C) I would suggest using our extensive Glove Care Kit. This kit includes glove oil, and over sized shaping ball, two glove applicator sponges, two over sized shaping bands, and a wooden break-in mallet. It will also include an online glove care video, and will provide detailed instruction. All of the materials provided in this kit will break-in even the hardest, and stiffest gloves.

Product Description

This season, Nokona is bringing its classic Buffalo Combo Series to the fastpitch softball field! Nokona uses premium quality, select American Range Bison from ranches in South Dakota to construct these gloves. Buffalo leather produces the best of both worlds, soft and sturdy. Buffalo leather is renowned for its flexibility and supple feel. The shape of the glove is key, so Nokona has combined Buffalo with their signature Classic Walnut Leather. Classic Walnut Leather results from an old world tanning process that produces a uniquely patterned leather with a character and feel all its own. The combination of these two leathers creates a robust glove with a relatively short break-in period. When looking for a top-of-the-line glove, the Nokona Buffalo Combo Fastpitch Series should be on the top of the list. For over 75 years, Nokona has been producing handmade ball gloves for the elite player right here in the U.S.A. in Nocona, Texas. Don't buy a new glove every year, get a Nokona and get a glove that will last far beyond your expectations. Nokona: America's Pastime. American Made! Free Shipping!

About Nokona

Nokona Joe Phillips writes about his visit to Nokona. It was like sitting in at the plantation party in Gone with the Wind or maybe gazing from the grandstand at the “Field of Dreams” while the Black Sox players tried to work out their idled muscle kinks. And, I was gently reminded by the lines in that movie while I dug into a delicious plate of North Texas barbecue: “threshing crews eating at outdoor tables. It continually reminds us of what once was, like an Indian-head penny in a handful of new coins. . . You talk a good dream.” And here I was. . . graciously invit.... read more
