My son is 13 so in-between sizes. Is this still an appropriate glove to purchase for an intermediate hand size?
This would be considered an adult model, so will have the wrist opening and finger stalls for an average adult hand size. This would be a great option for wanting something to last them awhile and that they can grow into if they have smaller than average hand sizes for a 13 year old.
Features say "Little Break-In required." Please explain specifically how close to game ready the glove is when new. Is there an approximate percentage to describe how much breaking in is required?
The Nokona Bloodline Pro Series Baseball Catchers Mitt: P2 won't require a long break in period. There's not an exact way to predict when the glove is fully broken in. However, playing catch with the glove, using a modest amount of glove conditioner, and a mallet when needed can assist you in breaking in the glove.
Can I order a catcher's mitt that is completely broken in?
The only way one would be able to get a catcher's mitt like the 2016 Nokona Bloodline Pro Series Baseball Catchers Mitt: P2 broken in would be to order a "used" option in "good" condition. These used gloves in this type of condition will more than likely be completely broken in. As far as a new model option, even the youth models will require a slight break in.
The Bloodline is back - with a completely re-engineered construction! Just like the previous Bloodline Series models, the Bloodline Pro offers players a pro-quality glove that is highly structured - but now with an extremely lightweight feel! The highlight of this Series lies in the elite-level materials that Nokona chose for its construction. By utilizing their proprietary Range Kangaroo Leather for the entire shell, players receive one of the strongest, most durable leathers in the world - without the bulky weight you get with many high-end gloves. Another new feature to the Bloodline Series is the Interior Padding System that has been strategically placed in the glove to provide even more lasting structure, season-long durability, and confidence-building protection. Currently, the Bloodline Pro can been seen on the hand of young Major League Stars Tyler Saladino (CWS) and Kevin Siegrist (STL).
