Pros: A great value. I haven't caught for 20 years, but now my sons are starting to pitch and I wanted a glove. Good choice. Breaks in easy and is very comfortable. Can't speak to durability yet, but so far so good. I really don't think you'll be disappointed in this one

Pros: broke in very well. i have caught with 300 dollar mitts and i felt this mitt was better. once broken in, a fast pitch closes the mitt itself. great price

Cons: none

Eric

Pros: Excellent mitt for the price! The leather is soft, but it holds its shape very well! The palm has average padding, and if properly broken-in the pocket on this mitt is beautiful. Not to mention it rewards properly received balls with a loud POP. It has lasted me 3 seasons, 2 of which I caught 85+mph fastballs. A great mitt, I would recommend it to any player looking for a competitive level mitt at an affordable price! Not to mention its a beauty!

Cons: I am completely satisfied and I have no complaints. Just a quick tip so you can avoid the mistake I made. If your mitt or glove gets wet, DO NOT attempt to dry it any other way than by letting it air dry. If you use any other method, it traps the moisture and it will make your mitt/glove heavier.

Pros: Best mitt I've ever used, really loud "pop", and great for picking balls in the dirt. Makes an average catcher look great.

Cons: It lost its form over time, but that is over 3+ full seasons of catching.

How do you know what size it needs to be ratboy
This is a great link that we have that helps decide what size glove someone should use and what type; http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/
Brett
Im a sophomore in high school and i play catcher.. i want a glove with a big pocket. is this right for me? IBG
This glove is going to have one of the biggest pockets that we do carry. This might be a little bigger then what I would recommend for you age. I would recommend a glove that is around 33.00' in size.
Todd
can you get this in a lefty? what is a comparable catcher's mit for a lefty? dennis
Unfortunately, the GXC75 is not produced in a model for lefties.
Kris
I am 14 years old and on a travel league team. We use the Mizuno MVP Series GXC54 Catcher's Mitt and this glove that i am thinking about buying is half an inch bigger would this fit? ricky
A 34 inch mitt sounds a little too big for a 14 year old in my opinion. However, if you feel good using a 33.5 inch mitt, then a 34 inch model shouldn't be too much of a jump up in size. I recommend finding a 34 inch mitt to try on to get an idea of it's fit.
Tyler
I want to get a reasonable Catcher's Mitt to practice with my sons and I would like to get your honest opinion on two gloves, first the Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 and second the All Star MVP Series: CM3030BT. My concerns are the padding of the glove which is better, the quality of the leather, and the ease to break them in. Thanks for the help. Nathan
The Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 and the All Star MVP Series: CM3030BT will be the same quality of leather. Both are fairly easy to break in. The Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 uses Para Shock Technology for a little better padding. Keep in mind we offer a 100 day guarantee on our gloves. Even if you break the glove in, you can return it for a full refund or exchange.

I'm looking for a man-sized mitt for my husband to catch for our 14U daughter's fastpitch softball pitching practice. His fielder's glove doesn't absorb the shock now that she's older and throwing harder. Would this mitt be a good choice? Baseball mitt vs. softball mitt? Marsha
The Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 is a baseball catcher's mitt that will not work with a softball. Most fastpitch softball catcher's mitts will fit too tight for an adult male (my father always used a large baseball firstbase mitt with a batting glove for extra padding). However, if I were to recommend a fastpitch softball glove that should fit, it would be the Mizuno Classic Fastpitch Series: GXS31.
Tyler
Is this baseball or fastpitch softball? Terri
The Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 is a baseball catcher's mitt.

I'm looking to buy a catchers mitt but I cannot decide on which one to get. I'm stuck between the Mizuno Global Elite GXC10 and the Rawlings Heart of the Hide PROCM33DCC. My main concerns are breaking in time and durability, so which one is better? Steve'O
All of the gloves you are looking at are similar in break in time. Usually, about a week. Even though I really like Mizuno gloves, the Rawlings Heart of the Hide's are built to last for a long, long time.
Chad M.
My husband tried to buy a catchers mitt at Dick's and all were too small. The lower part of his hand did not fit inside the glove. How do you size a persons hand for a catchers mitt? Would this glove work for him? Melissa
It is completely natural for the heel of the player's palm to show. Unfortunately, hand size doesn't really have any correlation to mitt size. We do however have a Glove Coach, which is a great tool to help determine glove size: http://www.justballgloves.com/glove-coach/ . The Mizuno World Win Series is designed to fit a little smaller and probably would be too small for your husbands liking.
Tyler
Would this work for a 14 year old turning 15 in October? He has long fingers. Also, which Is better a closed or open back. Ramos
If your son has bigger hands the Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 Catcher's Mitt would be a great choice for him. As far as an open or closed back goes, this is going to be completely player preference.
Noah
My son is a high school girl's softball coach and has to catch the pitchers during warmups and practices. Will this glove work for a fastpitch situation? jrmann
The Mizuno World Win Series (GXC75) Catcher's Mitt can be used for fast-pitch softball purposes.
Joe
I'm 15 and I catch. I wear a 12.5" fielding size glove. I wanted to buy a catcher's mitt. What size should I get? Do you think this is a good durable glove? dread head
The Mizuno World Win Series (GXC75 Catcher's Mitt) may be too large at the 34" size. The Louisville Slugger Xeno Series (FGXN14-BKCM1 Fastpitch Catcher's Mitt) is 33" in size. It may be the better option at your age. Both mitts are very comfortable and very durable!
Brandon
How deep is the pocket on the glove? Amy
The Mizuno World Win Series (GXC75) does not have a specific pocket depth listed and that could vary based on break-in. It has an average depth compared to other mitts of this size.
Patrick
Looking for a catcher mitt for my 14 year old daughter. Is this a good fastpitch catcher mitt for her? Kevin
The Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 Catcher's Mitt should work well for your player.
Logan
My son likes this glove, but needs one with more padding as he is catching pitchers throwing 80+. What do you recommend? venturadave
If you are seeking a catcher's mitt that withstand the rigors of pitchers throwing 80+ MPH then we would recommend looking into either the 2016 Mizuno MVP Prime SE Catchers Mitt: GXC50PSE4-Black/Gold or 2016 Mizuno Global Elite Series Catchers Mitt: GXC11. Both of these mitts will feature more padding to allow the mitt to retain it shape longer when catching these harder throwing pitchers as well as make receiving more comfortable.
Cameron
Would this mitt work for 13 to 15 year olds? robby
This Mizuno World Win Series (GXC75 Catcher's Mitt) is a great catcher's mitt. It will have a 34.00" circumference on it, which may be a little large for that age range of player, but there is a good shot it may work out. However, we do have a 100 day guarantee on all mitts from JustBallGloves. If you wanted to get the glove and try it out you could do so. If you decided it was not the mitt for you within 100 days from the purchase date, we could take it back for a full refund or exchange.
Ben
Is there a difference between the baseball and softball catchers mitt? How do I know which one to buy? What size fits the adult? mydaughterpitches
The Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 Catcher's Mitt will fit an adult male. If you're needing a glove to catch a female softball pitcher then I would recommend the Mizuno World Win Series: GXF75 First Base Mitt.
Dan
If this is an adult catcher's glove then which glove is a comparable glove for an 11 year old? Bernie
I would recommend the Mizuno Prospect Series: GXC105 Youth Catcher's Mitt for your player. This Catcher's Mitt will be very similar to the Mizuno World Win Series: GXC75 Catcher's Mitt.
Dan
Is the glove waterproof? I know the other catchers on my team soak it in 150 degree water and they said I should do the same. Nathan
The Mizuno World Win Series Catcher's Mitt GXC75 will not be waterproof. I would not recommend using the heated water method to break in any gloves, some experts have experience utilizing the heated water method but without experience I would just recommend breaking it in by catching as much as possible and lightly applying glove oil when the glove becomes dry. The water could harm the leather of the Mizuno World Win Series Catcher's Mitt GXC75 and make the glove close to unusable.
