Description

Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the games most exclusive line of youth baseball gloves. One of those series is the Prospect Series. Mizuno's patented PowerClose technology is unmatched in the industry. Others may try to duplicate, but no technology closes as easily. Multiple technologies like Pocket2, PowerClose, PowerLock, V-Flex, Side Bar, and SureFit Foam, afford the youth player the best options to make catching easy. The V-Flex helps initiate easy closure while the PowerClose makes it easier for younger players to close the glove and catch the ball. The Parashock palm pad with butter soft and SureFit Foam lining in select Prospect Series models reduce shock to minimize "sting" while delivering superior feel and comfort. Above all, the PowerClose design MAKES CATCHING EASY! Make your Mark: Choose Mizuno! Free Shipping.

My son is a tall 8 year old. If he is playing middle infield what size glove would you recommend? Would you recommend a different size if he is playing first base? scott J
The 11.0" size that the Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1100Y1 Youth features would work well for your player at a middle infield position. For first base at his age, I would suggest going up to an 11.5" or 11.75" size to allow for more coverage.

Yes, the Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1100Y1 Youth features an 11" pattern and it would be a great option for a 10 year old utility player.
