Pros: Light weight and flexible. Cons:Love this glove except for one thing...the strap on the back of the glove used to tighten the glove on the wrist will not stay in place and dangles around.

The toughest part for my 7yr old playing travel is squeezing the glove closed. I've heard this Mizuno glove is built with that in mind specifically. Is that true?

The Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1075Y1 Youth will feature the patented PowerClose technology and V-Flex notch to help facilitate easier closing of the glove.

What would be a good size glove for my son playing travel ball 6U?

Typically, for a player in 6U, I would recommend a youth glove around a 10.00 inch pattern. The Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1075Y1 Youth features a 10.75 inch pattern so it may be a tad large and a glove that your player would grow in to.

Will this work for softball as well? I am not finding a softball glove made by Mizuno in this size. Not sure if it matters since the ball is smaller for baseball.

I would not recommend using the Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1075Y1 for softball as it is a youth baseball glove. I anticipate it being much too small for a softball.

Product Description

Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the games most exclusive line of youth baseball gloves. One of those series is the Prospect Series. Mizuno's patented PowerClose technology is unmatched in the industry. Others may try to duplicate, but no technology closes as easily. Multiple technologies like Pocket2, PowerClose, PowerLock, V-Flex, Side Bar, and SureFit Foam, afford the youth player the best options to make catching easy. The V-Flex helps initiate easy closure while the PowerClose makes it easier for younger players to close the glove and catch the ball. The Parashock palm pad with butter soft and SureFit Foam lining in select Prospect Series models reduce shock to minimize "sting" while delivering superior feel and comfort. Above all, the PowerClose design MAKES CATCHING EASY! Make your Mark: Choose Mizuno! Free Shipping.
