Mizuno has once again made it their priority to develop the games most exclusive line of ball gloves. One of those series is the Prospect Series. Mizuno's patented PowerClose technology is unmatched in the industry. Others may try to duplicate, but no technology closes as easily. Multiple technologies like Pocket2, PowerClose, PowerLock, V-Flex, Side Bar, and SureFit Foam, afford the youth player the best options to make catching easy. The V-Flex helps initiate easy closure while the PowerClose makes it easier for younger players to close the glove and catch the ball. The Parashock palm pad with buttersoft and SureFit Foam lining in select Prospect Series models reduce shock to minimize "sting" while delivering superior feel and comfort. Above all, the PowerClose design MAKES CATCHING EASY! Make your Mark: Choose Mizuno! Free Shipping.

Frankie
What model would be best for a twelve year old? (to last the next few years)
Jay, MVP
The Mizuno Prospect Series (GPP1000Y1) will be too small for you. It is 10" in size. Some better options for your current size can be found here: http://www.justballgloves.com/products/glove%20type~baseball/sub%20type~fielders/size~11.50/

Patrick
Is this glove for T-ball, or can my son (7 years old) use it for baseball?
amyson
The Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1000Y1 is a youth glove so it can be used outside of Tee Ball. This glove is the correct size for your 7 year old.
Angelique
How do I decide on a 10" or 10.5" for my 7-year old nephew? He is new to baseball — the goal here is to have all-around success and good fit / comfort.
e
Our glove recommendations are always going to be based on the age of the player. Based on the age of your nephew the 10.00 or 10.50 inch pattern would work. As for what size pattern would be a better fit, this will really be one of personal preference for the player. With that said, a 10.50 inch pattern should allow him to get multiple seasons out of the glove without sacrificing fit/comfort.
Cameron
what size would be appropriate for a slight (very slim small build) 8 year old boy?
c
I think that the Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1000Y1 Youth would work great for an 8 year old who has a smaller build. It is going to feature that smaller hand opening that will benefit smaller players.
Carter
Does this glove come in 11 1/2 size?
Buzz
Yes it does, it is the Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1150Y1 Youth.
Carter
Do you offer a 9" or 9 1/2" in this model, and is it leather?
jj
There are other Mizuno Prospect baseball gloves in those sizes, just different colors offered. They are as follows: 2017 Mizuno Prospect 9" Youth Baseball Glove: GPP900Y2GY, 2017 Mizuno Prospect 9" Youth Baseball Glove: GPP900Y2, and the Mizuno Prospect 9.5" Youth Baseball Glove: GPP950D. These gloves are made of full grain pigskin leather, which is easier for young players to manipulate.
Logan
Do you make this glove for a left handed thrower?
Matt
We did at one time carry this Mizuno Prospect Series (GPP1000Y1 Youth) in the Left Hand Thrower option. However, we have sold out and are unable to re-stock that Left Hand Thrower mitt.
Ben
Is this the correct size for my 10 year old grandson? Recommendation?
Paddy
The Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1000Y1 Youth would be too small in our opinion for a 10 year old. A better option to consider would be the following: Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1150Y1 Youth.
Cameron
What size is it? I like the glove but I didn't see a size.
baba boom
The Mizuno Prospect Series: GPP1000Y1 Youth will be a 10.00 inch pattern with a youth fit.
