Known for comfortable gloves that perform unlike anything else on the field, Akadema has raised the bar with the Torino Series. With a light brown palm and a chocolate brown shell, the Torino Series performs even better than it looks! Akadema's newest glove line is made from soft and smooth kip leather that enables the Torino Series to be 20% lighter than traditional gloves, yet just as durable as U.S. steer hide. These gloves break-in quickly yet retain their shape better than any other glove on the market. This 11.50 Inch pattern features a Modified T-Web and is the perfect size for an infielder. Never drop a ball again as the pocket on the 11.50 Inch Torino Series is made medium-deep to make ball retention and transfer easier. With a conventional open back, this glove is made to give players the ultimate control in the field that they've been looking for. Akadema: Bring Your "A" Game! Free Shipping!

Pros: I just received my aro18, it's very very stiff but light as a Y2K, the color is exactly like the pictures and finished in the glove resemble a pro ssk custom I have. I like to do a review as soon as the glove starts to get loose, but I think that will take some time

Cons: I do not have any, i bought a good quality glove for less than 100 bucks comparing with others of similar quality

Cons: A little too stiff out of the package but that's what i was expecting.

Akadema gloves are made in China.
Brett
how durable is the palm leather? bballboy
Palm leather is one of the top durable gloves that we do carry. Once they are broken in, they will last for a very long time.
Brett
is this leather soft or stiff, and how long do you think it will take to break in? bballboy
This glove is stiff at the beginning, but once you break in the glove, the leather will be soft. It will probably take about 2 weeks to break this glove in.
Brett
does this glove have a small wrist opening? will it fit a 12 year old.! does it have good padding in the heel or palm. and overall padding?? okid12345
This glove will be a very good mitt. This glove has great padding on both heel and palm. This would be great for any infielder.
KG
I'm a college pitcher, am I able to use this glove for pitching? amcats33
This is a durable glove and will be perfect for pitchers. The leather has a good feel and is not heavy.
KG
Is the webbing of the glove better fit for an outfielder or infielder? Any suggestions on different web types for outfielders? Aairman23
When it comes to webbing, almost 100% comes down to your own personal preference. However, most outfielders prefer a trapeze or modified trapeze web as they tend to form a little deeper pocket.
Tyler
Do you have this glove in size 12.75 or 13.00"? amvets
The only Akadema Torino Series gloves that come in a 12.75" are the ACM39 and the ADV33. The only Torino Series in a 13.00" is a first base mitt.
Nick K.

Yes, both the Akadema Torino Series and the Rawling Pro Preferred Series gloves use Kip leather.
Jeff
Is this glove really stiff out the box? Will it keep it's shape for a long time? CT5
The Akadema Torino Series: ARO18 is a stiffer than average glove that holds its shape very well over time.
Tyler
Would you recommend this glove over the Akadema Gator Series (AFL11)? What's the leather difference? lil freese
Both are great choices. Basically, the only difference between the Akadema Torino Series (ARO18) and the Akadema Gator Series (AFL11) is the Gator print shell in the Gator Series. Both are made for infielders, however, the Modified T-Web of the Torino series glove is better suited for use by a pitcher and infielder.
Tom
Is this an adult glove? Would it fit a youth player (11yr old) ? angie drake
This is a youth model and should fit an 11yr old just fine.

About the Brand

In Akadema's short but remarkable history it has become one of America's hottest baseball and softball equipment company for professional, college, high school, and serious youth players. The Akadema phenomenon started with the Professional Glove Series and continues with the Reptilian®, Praying Mantis®, Pro Soft™ and Prodigy™ Glove Series as well as the Amish Wood™, Tacktion™ and Xtension® Aluminum Bat Series. Akadema's ownership attributes increasing market share to their innovative professional baseball and softball product line in contrast to mass-produced products that have little to do with quality, feel, or design to raise the level of play.

Akadema's products are manufactured for professional players but are now accessible to semi pro, college, high school, and serious youth players. Akadema products are still designed with the professional player in mind but competitively priced for the professional player at heart. So it's your turn to think like a professional, play like a professional, and use Akadema Professional!

Akadema now has both baseball and fastpitch softball advisory staffs that they work with closely to implement new ideas. Members of the baseball advisory staff include Hall of Famers Ozzie Smith and Gary Carter as well as Howard Johnson, Reggie Smith, Luis Polonia, Sandy Martinez and many others. Fastpitch stars that are on the advisory staff include Crystl Bustos and Julie Smith. The input on performance from the advisory staff gives Akadema something they cannot put a price on. Their advisors don’t talk about marketing or places to sell the gloves, they just care about performance.
