Would this size glove work for outfield, third base, and pitching? My son currently has an older 12" glove, but it is fairly small on his hand. I'd like to go with something larger, but don't want to go too big.

I've heard that the ProSoft Series from Akadema is often chosen by men's fastpitch players, as the finger stalls are wide enough for the average male hand. Would you say an XXL hand like mine would fit in there? And also would you say that the glove might perform badly in fastpitch softball?
No, it won't perform badly, it's a great glove. Size wise, it should still work for xxl hands. If not, we do offer the 100 day gurantee.
My son is 13. When he isn't pitching he plays Centerfield. He has a glove he uses when pitching but has been asking for a fielding glove for Christmas. Would you suggest ordering a 12.50 or sizing down to a 12 so it could serve as a backup glove for pitiching if the situation arose?
Most infielders use an 11.00-11.50 inch glove. Most outfielders use a 12.00-12.50 inch glove. I would recommend buying a 12.00 inch glove for someone that might use that glove for pitching as well.
This looks like a good glove for softball-infield-utility...Correct?
It does have a deep pocket but it is designed for baseball, not softball.
My son is playing 11U. We have the prodigy 1st base glove. Looking to get a standard glove and wanting to know best choice between reptilian fast pitch AT 577 and Pro soft series ALN 225. What do you suggest?
A fast pitch glove is designed more for female fastpitch softball players. If you want a more multi-purpose glove you might want to try a 12 inch, if he plays infield at all, infielders use smaller gloves. If you would like more detailed help, feel free to call our reps, we will be glad to help you pick a glove that will suit your needs.
