Ask A QuestionPlease: What is the weight of the 6ST? What is the weight of the 6SS? Is the construction the same for both gloves? (Identical?) Are the materials the same for both gloves? (Identical?) Except for the colors (6ST TAN; 6SS BLACK, and, perhaps the weight, are there any other differences between the two gloves? If there are, what are they? Thanks.
Both the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBOT6ST and the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBOT6SS use pro stock leather. However, the Wilson A2000 SuperSkin Series: BBOT6SS also uses SuperSkin leather for a lighter feel. The superskin is the only difference in the two gloves. Wilson does not provide with the exact weight of the gloves.
How does this glove compare with the Heart of the Hide Series from Rawlings?
Both the Wilson A2000 Series and the Rawlings Heart of the Hide Series use very comparable leather and should be of very similar quality. Both gloves are excellent choices for a player who wants a higher end baseball glove.
Does this glove come oiled?
No, the Wilson A2000 Series: A2000BBOT6ST will not come oiled. You will need to apply a small amount to the glove yourself.
