Being a catcher's mitt, it is heavier than a regular glove, due to the extra padding. But this particular glove is not super heavy. We do offer the 100 day guarantee if it does feel too heavy for her. You could look at this one also, it has a mesh backing on it for a lighter weight. I have the previous Synergy glove and i love the fit and feel on my hand does this glove have that same feel as the previous year?
